How do you measure arsenic in water?

In response to the persistent issue of naturally occurring arsenic in groundwater, Taiwan EPA began utilizing nano-gold electrochemical sensors for rapid arsenic measurement in southern-west Taiwan from 2020. With over 300,000 irrigation wells in the region, monitoring high arsenic levels had been a daunting task until the introduction of this user-friendly technology, allowing two untrained individuals to collect quantitative arsenic data from 30-50 wells (LOD=5 ug/L) in just one day.
